San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office Commends City of Mountain House for Proclaiming October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Mountain House, CA - The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, led by District Attorney Ron Freitas, expresses deep gratitude to the City of Mountain House for officially proclaiming October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This year’s theme, #Every1KnowsSome1, underscores the widespread impact of domestic violence and the need for increased awareness and community support.
The District Attorney’s Office extends heartfelt thanks to Mayor Andy Su, Vice Mayor Bernice Tingle, and Council Members Ronna Green, Matt Disko, and especially Dan Harrison for his efforts in coordinating the proclamation. Special recognition goes to Celeste McFadden, who serves on the Family Justice Center Foundation’s board, for her ongoing dedication to this important cause.
Family Justice Center Program Manager Alexis Wilbur also attended the City Council meeting, where she joined District Attorney Ron Freitas in accepting the proclamation on behalf of the Family Justice Center and the District Attorney’s Office.
District Attorney Ron Freitas remarked, “We are deeply thankful to the City of Mountain House for their commitment to this cause. Domestic violence is often a silent suffering, hidden behind closed doors, but with efforts like these, we are one step closer to breaking that silence and ensuring that victims and survivors feel supported.”
The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office remains committed to working with partners across the county to ensure that survivors of domestic violence receive the support and resources they need, and to continue raising awareness throughout October and beyond.
