Special Funds Grant Information

The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s office is committed to public safety and growing resources for our county residents. We are pleased to announce the Public Safety, Gang, and Narcotics Intervention & Prevention Grant funding opportunity. The funding is allocated for local community-based organizations that are dedicated to productively engaging area youth and providing services to quell gang and/or narcotic-related activities in our burgeoning community. This year, San Joaquin County has allocated up to $250,000 to be divided among selected organizations.

Many groups in the area are already making great strides in reducing the number of violent crimes in the community, and we are eager to support organizations as they undertake this challenge. San Joaquin County recognizes the insight we have right here in our community to assist our youth by collectively building ideas through discussion and engagement.

We are looking for local organizations that are implementing innovative strategies to support various law enforcement agencies throughout the county in our effort to stop the growing presence of nefarious activities targeting our youth.

We have created a straightforward application that can be accessed on the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s website. The applications will be reviewed by a committee comprised of San Joaquin County agency representatives. To begin the application process, download the application on the right. For all questions about the program and process, contact Chief Deputy District Attorney Donald Vaughn at (209) 468-2400.
