People v. Joshua Martinez Press Conference
Today, I am announcing that my Office, along with the Amador County District Attorney’s Office, indicted the defendant Joshua Martinez before a San Joaquin County grand jury earlier this month for Victoria’s murder.
The US Marshals arrested Martinez last Thursday and he was held in the San Joaquin County jail.
Today, Martinez was arraigned on the indictment in the San Joaquin County Superior Court for Victoria’s murder.
The charges in the indictment are.
187(A)- Murder
261.5(C) Unlawful Intercourse with a minor more than 3 years young
287(b)(1) Oral copulation with a person under 18 years, and
289(H) Sexual penetration by a foreign object with a victim under 18 years.
Martinez faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. He is being held without bail for Victoria’s murder in the San Joaquin County jail during the prosecution. He returns to court on April 6, 2026 at 8:30 AM.
