Assistant Chief Brian Fry has 25 years of experience with the Stockton Police Department, having held numerous key roles throughout his career. His investigative expertise includes assignments in the Child Abuse/Sexual Assault Unit and the Homicide Unit. Promoted to Sergeant in 2016, he led a Strategic Operations Unit before returning to the Investigations Division to supervise the Family Crimes Unit.

In 2022, he advanced to the rank of Lieutenant, overseeing the Personnel Section, and later resumed duties within Investigations, focusing on Crimes Against Persons and Property. Brian joined the District Attorney’s Office as the Assistant Chief Investigator in May 2025.

Beyond his law enforcement career, Brian is actively involved in his church and community.
