San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas is pleased to announce the successful resolution of a significant asset forfeiture case against Shakir Khan, a former Lodi City Council member, who admitted to engaging in criminal profiteering through illegal gambling and money laundering activities.
Case Details:
- Defendant: Shakir Khan
- Admission: Khan admitted that certain assets were acquired through criminal profiteering, including running illegal gambling establishments while serving as a public servant.
- Forfeiture:
Khan agreed to forfeit:
- Cash amounting to $76,987.00, seized from various accounts and his residence.
- Property value amounting to $383,013.01 from properties located at 241 Watson Street and 104 E Lodi Ave, Lodi, CA.
Total Payment to San Joaquin County:
$460,000.00 will be paid into the general funds of San Joaquin County.

Next Steps:
Upon fulfilling the terms of the forfeiture agreement, all restraining orders on Khan’s assets will be lifted, and he will proceed to sentencing in his underlying criminal case.
