The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office charged two individuals: Mary Greenberg, 62 years of age, and Kramer Greenberg, 34 years of age, in connection with their attempts to tamper and prevent the testimony of a key witness in the prosecution of former Stockton Police Department Sergeant Nicholas Bloed.
Mary Greenberg was charged with:
PC 136.1(a)(1)- Preventing/Dissuading a witness from attending or giving testimony
PC 136.1(a)(2)- Attempting to dissuade a witness from testifying
PC 182- Conspiracy to commit a crime
PC 136.1(c)(2)- Attending and giving testimony at a proceeding authorized by law
PC 137- Bribery of a witness
PC 138- Offer to bribe a witness
Kramer Greenberg was charged with:
PC 136.1(a)(2)- Preventing/Dissuading a witness from attending or giving testimony
182- Conspiracy to commit a crime
136.1(c)(2)- Attending and giving testimony at a proceeding authorized by law
The Defendants, both licensed private investigators working on behalf of former Stockton Police Department Sergeant Nicholas Bloed, are alleged to have offered Prosecution Witness Jane Doe, one of Nicholas Bloed’s victims, an undisclosed amount of money, paid in installments, in order to ensure that she would be unavailable for testimony at trial. Mary Greenberg then had her daughter, Kramer Greenberg, arrange transportation for Jane Doe to Southern California, along with taking additional steps to ensure her unavailability for testimony at trial. Jane Doe then reached out to the District Attorney’s Office to relay the above facts and the defendants attempt to prevent her testimony. Further investigation led to the arrest and the filing of criminal charges against the two defendants.
“There will be zero tolerance for anyone attempting to interfere with the administration of justice in San Joaquin County”, said District Attorney Ron Freitas.“Anyone attempting to prevent and interfere with the prosecution of criminals that have terrorized the victims of San Joaquin County, will absolutely be met with the full force of this District Attorney’s Office”.

Arraignment will be December 4, 2025 at 1:30 PM.
