San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced today that Guadalupe Felix, of Stockton, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to multiple felony drug trafficking charges stemming from a large-scale narcotics operation.

Case Details:

On May 28, 2025, agents from the San Joaquin County Metropolitan Narcotics Task Force (Metro) executed a search warrant at Felix’s residence. During the search, agents recovered approximately 74 pounds of methamphetamine, 428.6 grams of heroin, 50 fentanyl pills, two handguns, and one AR-style short-barrel rifle.

Felix entered an open plea to the court, admitting the following charges:

•  Possession of methamphetamine for sale (Health & Safety Code § 11378) with an enhancement for possessing in excess of 4 kilograms by weight

•  Possession of heroin for sale (Health & Safety Code § 11351)

•  Possession of fentanyl while armed with a loaded, operable firearm

The Honorable Judge Jose sentenced Felix to 10 years in state prison for the narcotics offenses. In a separate case, Felix had previously pleaded guilty on September 19, 2024, to felony evading a peace officer by driving in the opposite direction of traffic (Vehicle Code § 2800.4). Felix was terminated from the court-ordered Project Navigate Constructive Change (PNCC) program after being charged in the current drug case. Judge Jose imposed an additional 16-month state prison term for the evading conviction, to run concurrent with the 10-year sentence.

I commend the outstanding investigative work of the Metro Narcotics Task Force, particularly Agent Matthew Felber and his team, whose persistence removed over 74 pounds of methamphetamine and deadly fentanyl from our streets. I also want to thank my Major Narcotics Unit for their skilled handling of this case. We will continue to aggressively prosecute those who profit from poisoning our community.”
